What does it look like to lead enterprise data strategy where governance, analytics, and AI come together to create measurable business value?

As Director of Data & Analytics at 2nd Adventure Services, you will serve as the senior leader responsible for enterprise data governance, analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled insight delivery across a multi-company organization. 2nd Adventure Services provides shared services and enterprise support for Brownells, Crow Wholesale, AR15.com, and other affiliated businesses, giving this role influence across eCommerce, distribution, wholesale, and digital media operations.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will lead the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence and ensure data is trusted, governed, scalable, and aligned with business outcomes.

Where You'll Make the Greatest Impact

  • Lead the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, creating standards, operating models, and best practices for governed analytics and self-service reporting
  • Own enterprise analytics and reporting strategy, delivering scalable dashboards, reports, and insights aligned to trusted data sources
  • Drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled analytics, agentic analytics, workflow automation, and LLM-powered reporting capabilities
  • Partner with executives and functional leaders to align analytics priorities with business outcomes and improve data literacy
  • Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team while managing vendors and delivery partners

Why 2nd Adventure Services

  • Executive influence: Partner directly with senior leadership to shape enterprise data strategy.
  • Enterprise impact: Drive governance, analytics, and reporting across multiple business entities.
  • Innovation focus: Help define how AI and advanced analytics are used responsibly across the organization.
  • Strong foundation: Build on existing capabilities while creating a scalable data-driven culture.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, data management, or enterprise data leadership
  • Strong experience with enterprise data governance, data quality, stewardship, metadata, lineage, and access controls
  • Experience leading analytics and reporting teams in complex or matrixed environments
  • Working knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, NIST, and/or CMMC principles as applied to analytics and reporting
  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling, visualization, and modern data platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or a comparable modern cloud data platform; familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks is a plus
  • Experience with Power BI and AI-enabled analytics solutions

Location & Compensation

This role is based onsite in Grinnell, Iowa, with an expectation of at least 3 days onsite per week.

Salary range starts in the $140Ks, adjusted based on experience, with bonus opportunities aligned to company performance.
