Job description

IT Manager

Transdev is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Manager to join our team and ensure seamless operation of all information technology and communications systems. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing desktop support, maintaining key software systems, and collaborating with various stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly. This position is based in Baltimore, MD.

Transdev is proud to offer:

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $69,000 – maximum $86,000

Benefits include:

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities:

  • The IT Manager is responsible for all information technology and communications functions and equipment provided by MTA for Mobility.The IT Manager monitors all equipment and troubleshoots areas of concern when required, provides support for desktop and in-vehicle systems, and serves as the primary liaison to IT vendors, the MOCC Contractor’s, IT corporate support team, and MTA. Duties include but are not limited to interacting with MTA and other Contractors to resolve IT-related issues, including after hours, weekend, and remote support for other Mobility contractors that need access to Service Delivery systems. This position shall be 100% dedicated to this project
  • The IT Manger maintains security, functionality, data integrity, and recommends application improvement and performs acceptance testing in test environments. Proficiency in report writing using SQL report writer or equivalent, and able to utilize Trapeze tools (Real-Time Views and ViewPoint) are required.

Qualifications:

  • Competent on-site IT staff as needed.This position should have at least five (5) years of experience in information systems technology and at least three (3) years in management experience. Formal education beyond an associate’s degree is desirable and may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement. The manager should have thorough knowledge of information system methods and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
