What is the opportunity?

The IT Risk Reporting & Insights team is focused on the strategic delivery of the harmonization of risk reporting and metrics across our regions, while accelerating our governance and risk management practices. This includes the strategic design and development of metrics, evolution of reporting to prioritize standardization and the ability to enable proactive risk management.

What will you do?

  • Develop, execute and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of IT Risk Metrics using SQL, Python and Excel.
  • Perform PIV of IT Risk Metrics and reporting platform enhancements.
  • Ensure all testing evidence is documented to a standard that is clear and auditable using Microsoft office tools.
  • Manage JIRA projects to ensure all activities are tracked appropriately and can be linked back to testing evidence.
  • Report, track and ensure that all issues are resolved within a timely manner with stakeholders from IT Risk Engineering and Global IT Risk Analytics & Reporting.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, partner collaboratively with teams to resolve any identified discrepancies.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Technology Risk Analytics Operations in providing evidence that is requested by auditors or regulators as needed.
  • Provide customer support for inquiries about IT Risk Metrics received through the Global IT Risk JIRA service desk.
  • Contribute to regulatory activities as needed, providing documentation, responses etc.
  • Collaborate cross functionally across Global IT Risk Analytics & Reporting, as well as IT Risk Engineering to provide support for cross functional deliverables.
  • Deliver operational excellence in the maintenance and operations of IT Risk Reporting Platform.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • University graduate or equivalent, Professional designations i.e. CRISC, CISSP, PMP
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience using SQL or Python to develop and execute test cases.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management
  • Strong Risk Management foundation
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Strong data governance background
  • Ability to think analytically, navigate ambiguity and recommend solid solutions
  • Ability to use a systemic approach to solving problems through attention to detail, analysis, and evaluation of alternative solutions

Nice-to-have:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research and quantitative skills
  • Good knowledge of RBC businesses, products and organization
  • Good communication (verbal and written) skills, including strong appreciation of relationship management
  • Experience using Archer, LeanIX or similar Data Architect tools
  • Comfortable managing large quantities of data
