Company Description

Granite Risk Management is a leader in construction lending risk mitigation, providing nationwide services including contractor review, draw administration, inspections, and fund control to financial institutions and investors.

Granite is looking for a National Business Development Manager to drive growth within Granite Risk Management’s construction lending and risk mitigation portfolio, with a specific focus on SBA (Small Business Administration) lending programs. This role will be responsible for prospecting and securing new client relationships while expanding and deepening partnerships with existing clients.

The ideal candidate will bring an established network across SBA lenders, banks, mortgage companies, developers, and builders, and leverage those relationships to accelerate revenue growth and expand adoption of Granite’s full suite of construction risk management solutions.

Candidates must currently reside in the United States.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Develop and execute a national business development strategy to expand Granite’s construction lending and SBA portfolio
  • Prospect and acquire new clients across SBA lenders, CDCs, banks, credit unions, and private lenders
  • Leverage existing relationships to generate immediate pipeline and accelerate revenue growth
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across Altisource service lines to increase wallet share

Market Expansion & Strategy

  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities with developers, builders, real estate investors, and lending institutions nationwide
  • Analyze market trends, SBA program updates, and competitor positioning to influence sales strategy
  • Position Granite as a trusted risk management partner for SBA construction and renovation financing

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key stakeholders
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on construction lending risk, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with internal client relationship and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery

Financial & Risk Acumen

  • Evaluate potential deals through financial analysis, project feasibility, and risk assessment
  • Understand SBA 7(a), 504, and related construction lending requirements and compliance considerations
  • Ensure alignment between client needs and Granite’s risk mitigation capabilities

Sales Execution & Reporting

  • Develop compelling, data-driven presentations and proposals for prospective clients
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and KPI tracking in CRM systems
  • Track performance against revenue targets and strategic growth initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, underwriting, and risk teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies
  • Support product development feedback loops based on client and market insights
Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably in a national role
  • Direct experience in construction lending, SBA lending, or commercial real estate finance
  • Strong network within SBA lenders, financial institutions, or construction ecosystem participants
  • Proven ability to generate and close new business at the enterprise level
  • Deep understanding of construction lending lifecycle, risk management, and regulatory environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial and project data
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

  • Experience with SBA 7(a), 504, and construction/renovation loan programs
  • Background in selling risk management, inspections, fund control, or construction services
  • Familiarity with multi-state lending regulations and compliance requirements
