Job description

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) is seeking a full-time Operations Associate to join our Operations team. We're looking for a dependable, service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating a welcoming, organized workplace. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, provide exceptional service, and support the day-to-day operations of our facilities.
If you enjoy helping others, solving problems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to help create an exceptional workplace experience for our employees, members, and guests.
As an Operations Associate, you will support the day-to-day operations and care of the Credit Union House of Virginia (CUHVA), ensuring the building, shared spaces, and tenant areas are well-maintained, functional, and welcoming. This role plays a hands-on part in supporting tenant experience, workplace readiness, and internal services while also providing cross-functional operations support.
The position serves as a visible, service-oriented role that helps maintain a professional, safe, and efficient workplace for tenants, staff, and visitors.
The Operations Associate Will Be Responsible for:
Workplace Operations and Facility Support
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming workplace by conducting routine facility walkthroughs and identifying maintenance or operational needs.
  • Coordinating facility service requests, work orders, and vendor support to ensure timely resolution of building-related issues.
  • Assisting with the daily readiness of the workplace, including opening/closing responsibilities, shared spaces, conference rooms, and common areas.
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages.

Tenant, Employee and Visitor Experience
  • Serving as a friendly and responsive point of contact for tenants, employees, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Supporting room reservations, meeting setups, training sessions, and workplace events to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
  • Assisting with tenant onboarding, including building access, space orientation, and workplace procedures.

Operational & Administrative Support
  • Partnering with the Operations team and other departments to support day-to-day workplace initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinating workplace vendors and service providers, including cleaning, maintenance, utilities, and other facility partners.
  • Ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory of workplace supplies while keeping basic operational records and service schedules up to date.

Event & Meeting Coordination
  • Coordinating room layouts and logistics for meetings, trainings, and special events.
  • Setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, equipment, and event spaces.
  • Coordinating catering and food orders to support internal meetings, employee events, and organizational gatherings.

What You Need to Be Qualified for This Job:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in facilities support, workplace operations, tenant services, or a related role preferred.

Work Schedule:
As an Operations Associate, you will be based onsite in our downtown Richmond, Virginia office. Occasional travel may be required to support meetings, events, or other organizational initiatives. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or outside of regular business hours is expected to support meetings, special events, or time-sensitive operational needs. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel by automobile and airline are required.
How to Apply:
If this role sounds like the right fit for you, please complete our brief online application, which takes less than five minutes. After submitting your application, you'll receive a link to complete a short assessment. Both steps are required to move forward in the hiring process.
