Job description

Now hiring... Operational Assistant for Audiology Services - Munster location

Part-time: Thursdays, Fridays 7:30am-4pm

Provides secretarial and clerical services to either managerial associates and/or department head level associates. Prepares correspondence in final form; types a number of office records, reports, billing, etc., receives and directs visitors; maintains and updates departmental records; gathers data and prepares a variety of recurring reports to assist staff and to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department or unit. Also is responsible for receptionist’s responsibilities during absence.

Education/Experience:

  • Completion of high school level course work.
  • Two to three years of related office experience in order to become proficient in clerical skills, to acquire a thorough knowledge of effective and efficient office systems, to develop suitable interpersonal skills, and to gain a thorough understanding of Hospital policies and procedures.
  • The organizational skill to maintain orderly and efficient office systems for a department or unit and to schedule and coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills necessary to deal with visitors and Hospital personnel at all levels.
  • Analytical ability to evaluate and interpret data for the preparation of reports.
  • Clerical ability to operate a variety of office machines and to type with proficiency.
