2nd Shift, 3:15 PM - 1:15 AM
Job Summary
Assist in efficient and accurate mixing, blending, and cooking of raw ingredients. May be required perform any additional responsibilities assigned by leadership. In the event of absence, the position will be filled by adequately trained personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist Blender Operator(s) with the efficient and accurate processing of finished food grade products, on the processing lines, and/or at periodic times.

  • Assists with Set up / break down of equipment as needed.

  • Check-in ingredients, matching them to the recipe. Communicate any discrepancies to the Blender Operator(s), Supervisor/Lead, and expeditor.

  • Follows the recipe with no deviations (proper mixing of slurries, etc....).

  • Assists with run tests, to ensure product meets viscosity & sensory requirements before filling process.

  • Ability to learn how to operate and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment.

  • Assists with lifting in variety of areas/lines.

  • Communicates effectively with peers and FSQA to meet quality standards, efficient processing, including prep delays.

  • Able to Identify ingredients - bases, diced vs. sliced, etc.....

  • Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.

  • Operating equipment

  • Safely operate various types of equipment.

  • Safely operate forklifts, manual and / or electric pallet jacks. (Plant Certification)

  • Must be LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) Certified

Responsibilities for Food & People Safety
  • Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly as applicable.

  • Must adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food and Employee Safety policies.

  • Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable.
    • Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.

    • If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to the approved HACCP plan(s).

    Required Skills/Abilities
    • Basic Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    • Written and verbal communication skills. English required.

    • Basic organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Basic at multitasking.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks.

    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
