Schedule Shifts are 12-hour nights, with weekends scheduled as needed. Job Description Join a dynamic team in the CVICU, providing critical care for cardiac patients, including fresh open hearts and step down patients. The role includes managing complex cases, requiring expertise in various cardiac conditions and advanced monitoring techniques. Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care for patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Monitor and manage critical patient statuses using advanced technology.
  • Administer medications and titrate drips as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about care plans and recovery processes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Experience with fresh open hearts and >6 hr post-op open heart patients.
  • Expertise in managing CRRT, temporary pacemakers, and post-permanent pacer patients.
  • Experience with Acute MI pre/post catheterization.
  • Knowledge of chest tubes, ventilator management, and hypothermia protocol.
  • Competence in reading strips and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Arterial line experience required; IABP and Impella experience preferred.
