Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Shipping OP Receiver is responsible for the coordination, unloading and receiving of all outside purchased product, as well as product coming from Mexico.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Track all inbound product via receiving list
  • Ensure OP area is organized and product rotated daily
  • Reconcile all hold-over OP product to track any product left behind or has not moved
  • Communicate all issues and discrepancies to Expeditor and/or Salesperson
  • Unload all OP deliveries via forklift
  • Verify all counts on all OP product being received
  • Ensure all product is in good receiving condition before accepting product
  • Audit reference numbers to assure match on the order number in reporting software
  • Put away product in designated areas once received
  • Perform both unloading and receiving in a timely manner for service purposes
  • Facilitate coordination of product amongst truck drivers, shipping office and sales
  • Support coverage to Shipping Dispatcher as needed
  • Maintain courteous relations with all customers and drivers
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet operational demands

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Able to travel/relocate to and from Yuma, AZ as required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Forklift - loading experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year in distribution function preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends if required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Team player who will exceed assigned responsibilities and assist others to reach objectives
  • Willingness and ability to work occasional long and sometimes irregular hours including working night shifts, weekends and holiday hours
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, excellent time management skills, self-motivated, attention to detail and accuracy, great organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a respectful and professional manner with all levels of employees
  • Work onsite and meet position's attendance schedule, as required by the job

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a cold (34-36 degrees F) and wet manufacturing environment, the smell of chlorine and ammonia, outside weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, heavy machinery, forklift traffic and loud noise.
