Job Summary:
Suncap Technology is seeking a Senior IT Web Developer to provide technical consulting and build interfaces for web applications. The role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver digital customer experiences while supporting the application lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Acquire and assists in interpreting business requirements, creates a functional specification, and determines the most efficient/appropriate technologies.
โ€ข Research and improve current coding standards.
โ€ข Research and implement new development techniques.
โ€ข Submit and review technical and process improvement recommendations as a member of the technical leadership team.
โ€ข Work with business and IT teams to plan new features, gather requirements and suggest solutions.
โ€ข Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support).
โ€ข Ability to work with new technologies while showing drive, versatility, adaptability, and creative thinking.
โ€ข Help foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the box thinking.
โ€ข Assist in analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build Internet solutions utilizing multiple technologies.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
โ€ข 5+ years IT experience.
โ€ข 5+ years with CSS and/or HTML.
โ€ข 3+ years with CSS 3 and/or HTML5.
โ€ข 3+ years with JavaScript.
โ€ข 3+ years with a server side programming language (i.e. Java, .Net, Ruby, Python, PHP, etc)
โ€ข 2+ years with a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as Oracle, DB2, Postgres, or MySQL.
โ€ข 5+ years of object-oriented analysis and design.
โ€ข Experience with version control systems such as git, mercurial, or subversion.
โ€ข Experience with command line tools.
โ€ข Experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
โ€ข Experience working as part of an enterprise web team, interfacing with other developers, designers, web engineers, and external agencies or partners.
Preferred:
โ€ข Understanding of responsive web development and design.
โ€ข Follow web accessibility (Section 508 and WAI) standards as well as WCAG 2.0 AA
โ€ข Experience working with content management solutions such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
โ€ข Experience in AngularJS and/or Angular.
โ€ข Experience in React.
โ€ข Experience working in an agile software development environment.
โ€ข Experience with HTML/CSS/JS debugging tools (Firebug, Chrome Developer).
โ€ข Experience creating and consuming web services (SOAP and/or RESTful).
โ€ข Experience with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.
