What is online training?

Online training refers to educational or instructional programs that are delivered over the internet. These programs can include courses, workshops, or tutorials that allow participants to learn new skills or gain knowledge remotely, often at their own pace. Online training is widely used by individuals and organizations for professional development, certifications, or personal growth. It typically utilizes a variety of digital resources such as videos, quizzes, and interactive modules.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an online trainer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Online Trainer, you need expertise in your subject area, instructional design knowledge, and experience with virtual teaching, often backed by relevant certifications or degrees. Familiarity with e-learning platforms like Moodle, Zoom, and content creation tools such as Canva or Articulate 360 is typically required. Strong communication, adaptability, and motivational skills help engage remote learners and address diverse learning needs. Consistent communication and feedback loops also help foster a collaborative virtual learning environment, making sessions more effective and enjoyable for both trainers and participants.
