Studios Student Assistants help create a welcoming environment in the Libraries technology spaces by providing excellent customer service and specialized technical assistance to NC State students, faculty, and staff. The Studios include the Makerspace, Gaming & VR Studio, Digital Media Lab at the Hill Library as well as the Media production spaces, the Maker Studio, and the Gaming and Esports Lab at the Hunt Library. Student Assistants staff these spaces, helping users with technologies including 3D printing, electronics prototyping, sewing, video editing, 3D scanning, audio production, graphic design, Virtual Reality, desktop PC and console gaming, streaming software, and 3D modeling. They are responsible for greeting visitors, answering questions and providing introductions to these spaces, as well as handling reservations of dedicated workstations and media booths. Students maintain a welcoming and productive space for student research,
learning, and exploration of new creative technologies through their work in staffing and facilitating these spaces. 
Studios Student Assistants must be capable of learning policies and multi-step procedures and be comfortable working without continuous supervision. Students should be comfortable interacting with a variety of patrons coming from all academic disciplines, backgrounds, and experience levels.
Consideration and work schedule will be based on availability; may include nights, weekends, and
University holidays.
