Full-Time Onsite Role - Upper East Side, East 70's, NYC

Location: Upper East Side - East 70's, NYC

We're looking for a dynamic, personable, organized, and sales-driven individual to join our team as a Director of Sales/Director of Shipping. This is a unique hybrid leadership role that combines customer service, live online selling, sales management, inventory oversight, and shipping operations through Whatnot's live auction platform.

The ideal candidate is comfortable leading sales initiatives, managing shipping and post-sale operations, engaging with customers both in person and online, and helping grow the business through strong relationship-building and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily sales operations and shipping activities

Greet and assist customers in our live auction showroom with professionalism and enthusiasm

Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom environment

Manage inventory, product organization, and product displays for both in-person and online audiences

Host and sell products during live auctions on the Whatnot app

Engage viewers, answer questions in real time, and help build a loyal online following

Track sales performance, shipping logistics, and customer orders

Assist with packaging, shipping coordination, and post-sale customer service

Help develop sales strategies to increase online and in-person revenue

Monitor inventory movement and ensure accurate product handling

Work closely with ownership and team members to improve operational efficiency and customer experience

Requirements:

Strong communication skills and comfort speaking on camera during live auctions

Previous sales, shipping, showroom, retail, or online selling experience preferred

Leadership or management experience is a plus

Familiarity with Whatnot, livestream selling, e-commerce platforms, or a willingness to learn quickly

Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Tech-savvy with basic knowledge of smartphones, apps, inventory systems, and streaming tools

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Must be dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
