JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting shipboard workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting, and total rewards programs. Assist with financial reporting, accruals, variance analysis, and annual planning processes while ensuring the accuracy of workforce, payroll, total rewards, and financial data.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in preparing Shipboard budget and forecasting.
  • Responsible for monthly accruals; identify, research and resolve variances.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and partner closely to ensure proper invoicing and monthly estimates.
  • Calculate, reconcile and remit monthly union contributions for shipboard employees in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
  • Maintain Hyperion Workforce Planning system, ensuring manning, salary and budget information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with annual salary planning cycles, union contributions and budget adjustments within financial planning systems.
  • Assist in conduct regular audits to reconciliation between HR, payroll and financial systems to ensure data integrity and budget accuracy.
  • Assist with the development of the corporate benefits budget and benefit costing.
  • Assist with managing crew and GSC insurance and pension, communications, crew enrollments and terminations.
  • Partner with HRIS and Finance teams to enhance reporting capabilities, system processes, and data integrity across workforce planning and total rewards platforms.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study.
EXPERIENCE
  • 1-3 years' experience with financial or business planning and analysis. Experience with Shipboard Workforce Planning and crewing models within the cruise, hospitality, maritime or travel industry experience preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with special emphasis on Excel spreadsheet analysis.
  • Hyperion experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels and across all functions in the organization.
  • Able to manage time effectively to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in analysis and presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting. Ability to maintain sensitive data and information confidential.
