Program Manager

Driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Program Manager-related occupation. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Program Manager-related occupation.

Position requires 3 years of experience in the following: Project planning using Agile or Waterfall methodologies, including developing project charters, roadmaps, and risk registers; Program execution and governance or project lifecycle management, including monitoring progress, risks, and mitigations; Stakeholder management or cross-functional team leadership across organizations; Driving organizational change management or change implementation using rollout plans and impact analysis; Developing and executing stakeholder communication plans for program goals, progress, and health.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000 - $189,000 + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google Atlanta, Georgia office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and design targeted communication plans to manage expectations and enable effective decision-making.
  • Author comprehensive program charters and create detailed project plans that define scope, timelines, resources, and dependencies for advanced programs.
  • Determine program phasing and key metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimize resource stewardship throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Establish program governance by defining data collection methods, maintaining project trackers, and leading team meetings to drive progress.
  • Execute program tasks by proactively managing dependencies, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with core product values.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management plans, including impact analysis and progress monitoring, to support program stakeholder needs.
