Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Part Time Compliance Patrol in Central Valley, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.


Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when directed by site procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and promptly, maintaining professional communication with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
