Job description

District Operations Manager - Valet Trash Services
Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC
Employment: Full-time, W-2 | Biweekly pay
Compensation: $55,000 base salary plus a $5,000 annual performance-based bonus opportunity
Company vehicle provided, with work-related fuel and maintenance covered
Lead a team. Build your district.
Community Concierge Services (CCS) provides doorstep waste and recycling collection for apartment communities nationwide. Our team of more than 700 employees serves over 175,000 apartment homes each night.
We're looking for a hands-on leader to manage the people, service quality, and client relationships within an assigned district. If you've supervised hourly teams, handled call-offs, coached employees, and stepped in to get the job done, your experience could translate well to CCS.
This is an opportunity to move into broader responsibility across multiple communities with a growing, founder-led company.
Understand the role and schedule
This position combines evening field leadership with daytime recruiting, administrative work, and client communication.
  • Peak operating hours are 6 p.m. to midnight. Evening and weekend availability is essential. Service operates seven days a week across our communities.
  • You will regularly travel between properties to support employees, inspect service, and resolve issues. Travel to neighboring markets may also be required.
  • You are responsible for arranging coverage when employees call off or fail to arrive. When other coverage options are exhausted, you must personally cover the route.
  • The fieldwork is physical. It includes extended walking, repeated stair climbing, carrying bagged trash, and working outdoors.
  • Daytime flexibility depends on completing your responsibilities and meeting operational needs. Recruiting, payroll, client communication, and team support still require daytime attention.
  • Service or staffing issues may require work beyond typical operating hours. This role requires full-time commitment and cannot be performed alongside another full-time job.
What you'll do
Build and support a dependable team
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train part-time trash collection employees.
  • Set clear expectations for attendance, safety, service quality, and communication.
  • Coach employees, recognize strong performance, and address issues promptly.
  • Build backup coverage plans and keep staffing needs ahead of service demand.

Own nightly service execution
  • Confirm staffing and respond quickly to call-offs, no-shows, and service interruptions.
  • Visit communities, conduct employee and service audits, and follow through on corrections.
  • Help employees troubleshoot onsite issues and personally assist with collection when needed.
  • Ensure employees have the safety equipment, supplies, and app access needed to do their jobs.

Manage client relationships and district administration
  • Communicate professionally with property managers and follow through on concerns.
  • Maintain accurate payroll, service reports, and employee documentation.
  • Use company systems to track service, review documentation, and identify recurring problems.
  • Coordinate new community launches, including staffing, equipment distribution, and resident information.
Experience that translates well
We welcome candidates with experience supervising hourly or part-time employees in:
  • Valet trash or other field services
  • Commercial cleaning or janitorial operations
  • Security operations
  • Parking or valet services
  • Hotels or housekeeping
  • Restaurants or quick-service operations
  • Staffing or branch operations
  • Apartment maintenance

Experience handling scheduling, attendance issues, employee coaching, and customer concerns is especially valuable. Previous valet trash experience is helpful, but leaders from related industries are encouraged to apply.
What helps you succeed
  • You lead by example and are willing to perform the work you ask others to do.
  • You build relationships while holding people accountable.
  • You stay organized across multiple locations and competing priorities.
  • You communicate early, solve problems calmly, and follow through.
  • You are comfortable using mobile apps and basic computer systems for reporting, scheduling, and payroll.
  • You can meet the travel, schedule, and physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Compensation and benefits
  • $55,000 annual base salary, paid biweekly
  • $5,000 annual performance-based bonus opportunity, paid quarterly based on performance
  • Company vehicle for work-related use, with fuel and maintenance covered
  • Company-sponsored health insurance available for you and your family
  • 401(k) matching: 4% match on the first 5% contributed after 12 months
  • Flexibility in organizing daytime work around completed responsibilities and operational needs
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement as CCS expands
See the work before you accept
Our hiring process includes an onsite work preview so you can see the service environment, understand the physical demands, and ask questions about the schedule and day-to-day responsibilities before accepting an offer.
If you're ready to build a reliable team, take ownership of a district, and lead from the front, apply today. If you want to standout send a 1-2 minute video of yourself explaining why you are the best fit to: hr@go-ccs.com
