They use secure audio-visual technology to verify a signer's identity and witness the signing of documents in real time, without the need for in-person meetings. Online notarization is legally recognized in many states and is particularly convenient for parties who are in different locations or unable to meet face-to-face.

What are some common challenges faced by online notaries and how can they be addressed?

Online notaries often encounter challenges such as verifying client identities remotely, ensuring secure document handling, and navigating varying state laws regarding remote notarization. To address these, it's important to use reliable identity verification tools, follow strict security protocols, and stay updated on the legal requirements in the states where you serve clients. Collaborating with reputable online notary platforms and participating in ongoing training can help you stay compliant and efficient in your work.

  • Escalate production risks or issues and support timely resolution with cross-functional teams
What Youโ€™ll Need

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of deposition workflows, transcript standards, and court reporting practices
  • Technical: Comfort using collaboration and productivity tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom

  • Sustained compliance with DepoDirect verification, documentation, and quality assurance standards
  • Adoption of process improvements that create measurable workflow efficiency gains
  • Strong collaboration and communication with internal teams, reporters, transcriptionists, and clients
