Job description

Pennoni is currently hiring for a GIS Specialist at our office in Philadelphia, PA
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop web applications using ArcGIS Online, Portal, Experience Builder, Dashboards, and other web GIS software.
  • Conduct geospatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and Python.
  • Build field data collection tools using Field Maps, Survey123, and Fulcrum.
  • Design and maintain geospatial databases and metadata on multiple projects.
  • Automate work using Python, ArcGIS Notebooks, ArcGIS Data Pipelines, and Power Automate.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on GIS data and project deliverables.
  • Support the implementation and management of ArcGIS Enterprise for clients.
  • Assist with technical documentation and project reports.
  • Conduct on-site client training and direct support.
  • Identify industry trends and determine where GIS capabilities can be marketed to existing and potential clients.
  • Support RFP/RFI solicitations for potential and existing clients.

Basic Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, IT, Engineering (or a related technical discipline)
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly Proficient in use of ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise; Experience developing web-based GIS & Asset Management applications (e.g. ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, Fulcrum);
  • Experience designing mobile data collection applications; Experience using Python and SQL to manage and manipulate spatial data;
  • Experience using GIS for any of the following disciplines: Water Modeling, Utilities Network Mapping, Environmental/Resiliency, Transportation, Facilities Management, or Civil Engineering;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
