General Functions :

Representative Duties/Assignments :
Maintains updated contact information for active CERT volunteers.
Instruct the CERT Basic Course and other advanced training courses.
Coordinates course development. Designs and creates publicity materials.
Staffs various division programs, activities, and emergency preparedness events.
Maintains inventory of all CERT related training equipment.
Performs other related work as required.
Coordinate volunteers while activated in Emergency Operation Center
Respond to email and telephone requests for CERT training course.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Has successfully completed the online FEMA Independent Study Course IS-317.A: Introduction to Community Emergency Response Team (CERTs).
Required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license.
Preferences :
Working knowledge Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course completion preferred but not required but required within one year of hire.
Successfully complete the online FEMA Independent Study Courses IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 within 30 days of hire.
Successfully complete the CERT Train-the-Trainer Course, E428 or G 428 within one year of hire

If you have obtained education from a country other than the United States, your degree or diploma must be evaluated to determine the United States equivalency by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) or the Association of International Credentials Evaluations (AICE) at your expense.
Notes
Selected candidates will be required to provide employment references and will be required to complete a pre-employment drug, physical and background check.
This position is an on-call position.

This position is casual labor and will require working evening and weekends. The expected work hours will be 20 to 25 per week.
