Job description

Admissions Associate - Morrow, GA
Excelon Associates is recruiting on behalf of a confidential postsecondary institution seeking a bilingual Admissions Associate to support student enrollment, community outreach, and prospective student engagement.
This role will work closely with the institution's Hispanic and Latino student population, including prospective students and families who may require Spanish-language support throughout the admissions process. Spanish-English fluency is required, along with strong cultural competency, community outreach experience, and the ability to clearly explain academic programs, enrollment requirements, and student expectations in a professional and ethical manner.
Position Overview
The Admissions Associate represents the institution to individuals who inquire about or express interest in enrolling in academic programs. This individual serves as a key point of contact for prospective students and families, provides accurate enrollment information, supports the admissions process, and contributes to the achievement of monthly enrollment goals.
The Admissions Associate will also interact with community-based organizations, develop referral and outreach resources, and help promote the institution within its target communities.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Director of Admissions and/or Campus Director.
Key Responsibilities
The Admissions Associate will:
  • Maintain current knowledge of the institution's history, goals, objectives, admissions requirements, and academic programs in order to provide complete and accurate information to prospective students and community partners.
  • Accurately determine, track, and report sources of inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the institution's CRM system. Manage prospective student leads through follow-up calls, emails, mailings, text messaging, and other approved communication methods to maximize lead conversion and enrollment outcomes.
  • Arrange campus visits for prospective students and conduct or supervise campus tours for prospective students.
  • Serve as the initial campus liaison between prospective students and other departments, including Financial Planning, Placement, and Academic Advising. Assist with student retention efforts as needed and upon request.
  • Conduct student interviews in accordance with institutional policy, administer entrance and placement testing, and advise students regarding academic requirements, enrollment expectations, and related admissions matters.
  • Ensure prospective students and their families clearly understand all terms and conditions of enrollment. When language interpretation is required, prospective students are expected to provide an appropriate interpreter if the Admissions Associate is unable to translate.
  • Assist academic departments as needed with new student academic participation matters and provide translation support when appropriate.
  • Develop effective strategies to achieve enrollment success, including effective bilingual telephone communication and follow-up practices designed to maximize enrollment results.
  • Support the completion of the admissions process by securing appropriate admissions documentation, reviewing required enrollment materials, and arranging any necessary pre-enrollment conferences with Academic Advisors to address previous education, competencies, or related requirements.
  • Operate as a performance-based professional who understands that enrollment and graduation outcomes are key measures of success, along with minimizing student debt and encouraging student personal investment.
  • Manage and coordinate the admissions process for ongoing interested prospects and provide weekly status updates to management.
  • Develop prospective student leads through referrals and community outreach. If institutional lead flow is not sufficient to meet enrollment goals, the Campus Director may adjust the Associate's work schedule to allow appropriate time for community-based lead generation and outreach execution.
  • Interact with members of target communities for the purpose of lead generation, institutional branding, and relationship development. Ensure appropriate marketing resources are available and participate in approved community visits and presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must be willing to accommodate the work schedule required for the role. This individual must represent the institution honestly and ethically while performing all duties in the mutual best interests of the institution and prospective students.
Additional qualifications include:
  • Spanish-English fluency required
  • Demonstrated ability to support Hispanic and Latino prospective students, families, and community members
  • Strong cultural competency and ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations
  • Positive work history in customer service, sales, admissions, enrollment, outreach, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of formal postsecondary education
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a goal-oriented, performance-based environment
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage prospective student activity through a CRM system
  • Commitment to ethical student recruitment and accurate representation of academic programs
