HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Academic Advisor I are the following:• Advises prospective and current students about academic requirements and selection of courses.
• Disseminates information on university policies and procedures to faculty, parents, students, etc.
• Maintains students' files.
• Analyzes and processes requests for readmission from academic exclusion and financial aid reinstatements
• Provides retention services for students who are part of the Academic Improvement Program.
• May assist in conducting orientation sessions for groups of incoming students.
• Audits student records for curriculum, major and graduation requirements.
• Compare transcripts with entrance and graduation requirements.
• Refers students with academic discrepancies to proper officials for further action.
• Assists in the preparation of special reports relating to enrollment and related matters.
• Evaluates and maintains student records for degree requirements.
• Monitors student registration activities and academic performance/progress.
• Coordinates communications to students regarding course scheduling, core and major requirements, academic resources etc.
• Monitors and tracks the retention, progression and graduation of all students within assigned population.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and related experience.
