Renewed Care Therapy is seeking a dedicated Licensed Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation facility team in Mesquite, Texas. • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ cognitive, perceptual, and physical abilities while assessing their home and work environments to create personalized treatment recommendations.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to establish and implement individualized occupational therapy care plans that prioritize measurable patient goals.
• Perform detailed intake assessments to document the patient’s current status, history, and prognosis, leveraging medical records for comprehensive understanding.
• Provide regular updates on patient progress to families and the healthcare team to ensure transparent communication and alignment on recovery objectives.
• Supervise and guide the implementation of the occupational therapy plan by supporting aides, assistants, and students in their daily duties.
• Act as a dependable resource for patients and their families regarding follow-up care, necessary resources, and community assistance programs.
• Proactively participate in departmental program development, adapting policies and procedures to reflect best practices aligned with national standards.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support the larger goals of the organization.

You will work primarily with adults and senior individuals facing mental, physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities. Your role is pivotal in facilitating their rehabilitation, helping each patient to regain skills necessary for independent living and meaningful engagement within their communities. • A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required, preferably accompanied by a Master's degree or Doctorate.
• Possession of current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas.
• CPR certification is mandatory to ensure patient safety and emergency readiness.
• A minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience in occupational therapy, particularly within rehabilitation settings.
• Demonstrable knowledge of occupational therapy principles, assessments, and intervention strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities that promote the building of trust with patients and collaboration with team members.
• Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in rehabilitation or acute care environments, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to enhance patient documentation workflows and improve service delivery.
• Experience in student programs, clinical education, and program development will be considered an asset.
