Winner of the Austin Chronicle's "Best of Austin" for eleven years running, Team Tomlinson's is passionate about helping our guests find the right nutrition for their pets. Because of our dedicated, bright, and talented Team Members, we are THE local leader for healthy, natural pet nutrition.
Tomlinson's Delivery Associates earn a starting hourly rate of $15 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement of 76 cents per mile driven. With mileage reimbursement, our average Delivery Associate earns between $20 - $25/hour.
Tomlinson's Delivery Associates are W2 positions, not contract gigs. That means drivers working 40 hours or more per week are entitled to (and deserve!) health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and an employer-matched 401(k).
Here's what you'll do on a typical day....
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to guests or businesses in a timely manner.
  • Review orders before delivery to ensure they are complete and accurate.
  • Load and unload items into vehicle in a safe and appropriate manner so that product will not be damaged during the delivery process.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handle complaints from guests.
  • Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Work with dispatching team to resolve problems including order accuracy, and guest communication if needed (wrong address, gate code, etc.)
  • Train new drivers as needed (demo loading procedures, using OnFleet, ride-along, etc.)
  • Complete training courses to build product knowledge and stay up to date on new promos, products, and procedures.
  • Assist in-store between delivery runs.

Requirements
Delivery experience is a plus, but not required. However, a positive attitude and eagerness to help others is required. Tomlinson's delivery drivers must be at least 18 years of age and have:
  • A clean driving record
  • Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Up to date car registration
  • A smartphone with the ability to use our delivery app to navigate.
  • The Ability to lift up to 50 pounds: You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis in order to pick and deliver orders.
