Evening Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Compensation:$22-24/hour 

Reports to: Warehouse Manager 

2nd shift: Noon to 9 PM

Position Summary 

The Evening Shift Warehouse Supervisor will report to Warehouse manager andbe responsible foroverseeingthe day-to-day activities of our Cape Girardeauwarehouse. This includes all processes related to receiving, storing, anddistributinginventory. Daily warehouse activities include inbound and outbound shipping, labeling, andstoringparts, picking work orders, verifyingaccurateinventory counts, and ensuring that we always achieve ourdelivery goals.The ideal candidate will have an automotive background and some leadership experience.Currently we have a team of 30-40 with a fleet of 25 trucks and a 100K square foot facility, but we are growing! 

Responsibilities 

• Manage the daily activities of the100K square foot facility,includingallshipping and receiving functions 
• Supervise, train and mentor warehouse employees.  
• Participate in hiring as needed 
• Ensure that all employees are trained on safe work practices and that those safe work practices are followed to support a safe work environment 
• Ensure priorities, goals, and deadlines and SLAs aremet or exceeded at all times 
• Monitor in-stock positionsand react to inventory needs to ensurestoredelivery schedulesare met 
• Receive shipments, log intoinventory, andmaintaininventorylevelsthroughconsistentaudits 
• Develop andmaintaininventory/security controls to prevent shrinkage/loss 
• Assistin accurately pulling, filling,packing,andstagingorders 
• Organize shipment prioritiesand stage orders in uniform fashion for ease of loading and verification 
• Assistwith the loading of delivery trucks 
• Participate in managing driver-related issues including drug screens & licensing and handles fleet issues including DOT compliance 
• Maintain a clean,neat,and orderly work area as well asmaintainingthe warehouse in a safe,secure,and organized manner 
• Manage Safety and HAZMAT compliance for the facility 
• Processesreturnsaccuratelyandina timelymanner 
• Orderuniforms, wheels and lug nutsand other items if necessary 
• Pay certain warehouse specific bills 
• Help schedule building maintenance 
• Ensureall equipment is storedand securedatthe endof day 
• Ensure preventative maintenance onfleet vehiclesand warehouse equipment 
• Maintainproficiencyin computerized systems and other technologies and ensure teammates are trainedaccordingly 
• Additionalduties as assigned 

Requirements 

• 3+ years of warehouse experience 
• Leadership experience
• Automotive parts and tires experienceisa plus 
• Delivery operations experience and knowledge of warehousing systems 
• The ability to communicate effectively with the team and management 
• Able to work independently while making decisions andoptimizingprocesses for efficiency and accuracy 
• Strong MS Office skills 
• Experience with warehouse inventory software, Motive and Paycomand Cintas 
• Ability to work at heights and regularly move andlift upto100 pounds 
• Excellentcommunicationskills, both written and verbal 
• Need to be able tooperatea manual vehicle 
• Prior forklift experience preferred 
• Will need to have a flexible schedule and be able to work some Saturdays.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

The Evening Shift Warehouse Supervisor will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.

The Evening Shift Warehouse Supervisor must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
