Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

Additional Details:

Canadian Candidates: Required to have a US SSN to apply.

Current Employees: We cannot consider travelers employed (FT, PT, or Per Diem) by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital within the past 12 months.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Float position where candidates need to have at least 2 of the 3 areas of competence:
  • • ICU - minimum 2 years ICU experience
  • • Med/Surg/Tele - minimum 1 year Med/Surg/Tele experience
  • • ED - minimum 2 years ED experience, triage experience required, charge Nurse experience preferred

Required Credentials: 8 Hours of Stroke Training

Unit/Facility Details: Patient Ratio: ICU - 1:2 ratio for ICU, 1:3 ratio for IMC // 4 North, 4 South, & SSU - 1:5 patient ratio (1:6 during surg staffing) with nursing assistant support. Additional support from lightly assigned Charge Nurse (1:2 patient ratio) // 1:4 patient ratio (1:5 during surg staffing) with nursing assistant support.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, every other holiday.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
