The Church

Grace Community Church (GCC) in Worthington, Minnesota, has a rich history rooted in Christ with a heart to Know Jesus, Become Like Him, and Make Him Known Among All Nations. Grace Community Church was born in 1997 with about a dozen families and became affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) within two years. Over the duration of ten years, we moved three times due to growth and God’s blessings. By the grace of God, we continue to modify our building to accommodate our growing church family. We exist to follow Jesus, serve where Jesus leads us, and to connect with our local communities. Our children’s, youth, college/young adult, and small/life group ministries are flourishing. Our Global Outreach (GO) Team supports eight missionary families around the globe and three missional organizations locally. We also partner with Christian camps and provide financial support and transportation to children finishing grades 1st-12th. We have been blessed to support a number of mission trips globally to provide care for our families that we have sent to spread the Gospel of Christ.

From our start, GCC has had two lead pastors who have served us for over 20 years, using a balance of theological and relational leadership. As we’ve grown, each of these Godly men provided leadership and direction furthering the Gospel and discipleship of the GCC family. Our most recent lead pastor was called to fill a newly created position at the national office of the EFCA. We are actively chasing God in our pursuit of the prize set before us and looking forward to what lies ahead.
