2/2/3 schedule, Night Shift 6:00 pm - 6:30 am

Summary: The Production Supervisor creates an efficient schedule by working with internal and external customers. Responsible for monitoring and scheduling of multiple production lines, and overseeing the ordering of all raw materials for the production lines. Communicates with customers and suppliers and maintains planning systems.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Supervise up to 10 employees.
  • Provide support for all direct employees on their assigned production schedules.
  • Assist with writing schedules for multiple production lines as needed
  • Assist with communication to customers on all aspects of their schedule and orders as needed
  • Assist with ordering all raw materials for production runs by creating and tracking
  • Purchase Orders as needed
  • Assist with making order changes in the event of a schedule change as needed
  • Assist with emailing all schedule changes, update schedule monitors daily & with changes as needed
  • Work closely with planners & suppliers to ensure all materials are delivered on time
  • Maintain minimal remaining on hand inventory.
  • Work closely with Production Planning Manager on effectiveness of production schedules.
  • Work closely with Inventory Control team on maintaining a proper level of raw material inventory.
  • Back up Material Planners with Pre-Count Inventories for locations.
  • Back up Production Planning Manager on set up all new items in multiple Operating Systems.
  • Back up Production Planning Manager on set up new and maintain all Work Orders.
  • Back up Production Planning Manager on set up new and maintain Batch Summary Sheets.
  • Various reporting to Upper Management.
  • Run daily production meetings in Production Planning Managers absence.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve efficiencies of the production schedule and daily tasks.
  • Complete timesheets for all direct reports.
  • Implement cross training plan for Planning team
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with Planning Team, customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • On Call for After Hours issues – 1st escalation
  • To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.
