Job description

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a US Postal Service (USPS) Programs Director with the potential to work out of Arlington, VA; Denver, CO; Cleveland, OH; Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

The successful candidate will focus on growing the Federal Team's USPS Program, delivering our service capabilities to include engineering, architecture, planning, environmental engineering and program management; as well as focusing on enhancing and strengthening relationships within the national US Postal Service arena and driving new business opportunities.  

The position will work with operations and delivery leaders across all sectors, as well as with regional and national leadership, to position WSP as the preferred and trusted choice for clients and employees. 

Your Impact

  • Leverage WSP's technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings.

  • Advance the strategic growth direction of the USPS program and position for sustained and continued growth.

  • Manages client coordination and cross-selling efforts across all business lines in coordination with Region, District, National Business Lines, Marketing Excellence Center and Pursuit Management.

  • Generate leads, assess new markets, and develop new business opportunities for USPS projects/programs.

  • Participate in federal business growth strategy development and execution.

  • Attracts the best industry talent by fostering a work environment that is collaborative, values inclusion and diversity and invites broad, creative thinking - crafting a more attractive place to work, grow and thrive.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

  • Lead team of ~+90 team members. 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 15+ years' experience in consulting, engineering, program management and or business development to the USPS clients. 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Strong knowledge and overall understanding of USPS; US contracting industry; knowledge of Federal budgeting, industry business drivers and motivators.

  • Experience leading strategy and marketing for Federal acquisitions; demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and a variety of stakeholders, and in developing and executing strategies to deliver business results.

  • Understanding of financial metrics including EBITDA, Earned and New Business revenue, overhead costs, profit & loss, and project financials.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of servicing client needs and effective program planning and execution.

  • Demonstrated track record of managing large and complex opportunities and pursuits.

  • Strong business development skills with attention to win strategies and differentiators.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to communicate and under limited time constraints.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $192,000 - $367,200 

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $205,400 - $344,600
