Position Overview

Moon Crest Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals and families in a professional online environment, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through various psychotherapeutic modalities.

About the Organization

Moon Crest Psychological Center is a leading private practice located in Salem, Oregon, specializing in a wide range of mental health services. Our practice is committed to fostering a supportive and collegial atmosphere, where our counselors can flourish both professionally and personally. Our approach is rooted in establishing genuine therapeutic relationships, helping clients to overcome the stigma associated with mental health issues, and empowering them to enact the changes they desire in their lives.

Work Environment

The position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. Our practice emphasizes a positive culture that values collaboration and individual well-being. We provide full administrative support, ensuring that our counselors can focus on what they do bestโ€”helping clients. As part of our outpatient office setting, clinicians will not have on-call duties, night shifts, or weekend commitments, making it an ideal environment for mental health professionals seeking a balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employ psychotherapeutic techniques tailored to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders in individuals and families.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans that align with client needs.
  • Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions, adjusting the format based on the specifics of each patientโ€™s treatment plan.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all therapy services rendered, compliant with facility and professional standards.
  • Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring that all client needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, collaborating with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Proactively address patient feedback and concerns, ensuring that their needs are prioritized and safety is a top concern.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, engaging in continuous professional development and training as required.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse client population, including adolescents, adults, and families. Clinicians are expected to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity, recognizing the unique backgrounds and needs of each client while providing tailored mental health support. Our practice focuses on empowering clients to take charge of their mental well-being and fostering long-term relationships built on trust and understanding.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field is required.
  • Current state licensure as a mental health provider is mandatory; candidates must hold either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW license.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of psychological theories and clinical practices relevant to mental health counseling.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working with a wide range of populations, including both adult and child/ adolescent clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions effectively across different settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technologies for virtual therapy delivery.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), generous paid parental leave, and a total of three weeks of vacation annually. Furthermore, as a member of the Moon Crest team, you will enjoy annual stock awards, ensuring that you share in the growth and success of the organization.

At Moon Crest, we are committed to the professional development of our staff. We offer various training programs and mentorship opportunities to help clinicians expand their skills and advance their careers. As the field of mental health continues to evolve, we encourage our team members to engage in ongoing education and specialized certification programs.
