Job description

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
  • Discipline: RN
  • Start Date: 09/07/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, days
  • Employment Type: Travel

Minimum Experience: 2+ years PACU experience. Must have recent hospital experience and post cardiac and peds experience is needed.

Required Certification:  WI RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS 

Charting Experience: Epic strongly preferred. If no Epic experience, must have previous electronic charting experience. 

Unit Specific Skillset: post recovery  Pacu. 14 Bays 1:2 patient ratio- 35 patients per day 

Unit Overview (Patient ratio, etc.): Primary cases general, spine and neuro, GI, ENT, Cardiac, PV, ORTHO, will also stabilize ICU patients before transferring them to the ICU.

Weekend/Holiday:   Weekends are every 5th for on call.  Holiday rotation.

On Call/Call Back Requirements:  One night per week for 4 weeks out of 6 weeks schedule  and every 5th weekend -  30 minute response time.  Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours.
