Job description

TITLE: Site Merchant 
POSITION SUMMARY 
The Digital Site Merchant is responsible for executing and optimizing the online shopping experience to ensure that the AE/Aerie brand is brought to life online in a way that inspires customers, accelerates conversion, and drives profitable growth. With a strong understanding of the customer, deep product knowledge, and a data-driven mindset, this role will be responsible for leveraging effective merchandising strategies, product presentation, and data-driven insights to continuously elevate the customer experience. The Digital Site Merchant will partner closely with cross-functional teams in Omni Merchandising, Marketing, Planning, Business Strategies, and Technology to deliver a seamless customer experience aligned with omni-channel strategies and brand priorities. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 
Business Analytics & Insights 
Champion a customer-first approach, continuously identifying opportunities and emerging trends to improve the digital shopping experience across site and app. 
Monitor daily and weekly product level and site KPI's and translate into actionable insights and provide recaps, hindsight analyses, and reporting to leadership and cross-functional teams to drive decision making. 
Conduct ongoing business analysis (weekly, monthly & quarterly hindsight's) to provide sound recommendations to the cross functional team to drive preseason and in season strategic actions to grow web business. 
Leverage A/B testing and analytics to inform strategies and maximize sales and margin. 
Be the expert on the digital competitive landscape. 
Partner with marketing and SEO teams to optimize search-related traffic, product copy, and site discoverability. 
Site & Product Execution 
Drive seasonal web strategy for product launches, including creative assets and site touchpoints. 
Responsible for owning the digital merchandising of the site for specific product categories with a high level of accuracy. This includes all aspects of bringing a product to life on the site (managing end-to-end product set up, category maintenance, navigation updates, etc.). 
Audit/QA of PDP's (imagery, copy, creative), category pages, linking strategies and shops to ensure accuracy, storytelling, and conversion optimization across the site. 
Collaborate with creative, site ops, and cross-functional teams to deliver seasonal launches, site refreshes, and key marketing moments that are consistent with brand objectives. 
Partner with business strategy and marketing teams to execute leaseline tactics (countdown clocks, pop-ups, SMS campaigns, etc.). 
Provide QA of site updates and on-call support for content pushes, including off-hours when needed. 


QUALIFICATIONS 
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field. 
3-6 years of experience in digital merchandising, ecommerce, or omni merchandising. 
Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights and actions. 
Experience with ecommerce tools and reporting platforms (PIM, Browse, GA4, Tableau) a plus. 
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence across functions and levels. 
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and deadline-driven. 
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
Flexible to support off-hours production and business-critical site needs.

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
