Job description

This position is located at Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration(TIGTA),Office of Mission Support(OMS). As a Security Officer (Assistant Director Personnel Security), your primary responsibility will be supervisory control over the planning, development, implementation, and oversight of the federal personnel, industrial and information security, and National Security Clearance (NSC) programs at the TIGTA.

Qualifications:You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
Specialized Experience for the GS-14, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Providing leadership and direction in the areas of information security, industrial security, personnel security, operations security, and security administration of programs; AND
- Directing and supervising the design, formulation, and establishment of policies, procedures and systems pertaining to personnel security, information security, industrial security, and operations security; AND
- Providing technical advice and assistance concerning security protocols, management policies and procedures, investigative standards, security systems, and credentialing requirements; AND
- Applying suitability and national security concepts, principles, and practices.
Time-in-Grade:
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.Education:This job does not have an education qualification requirement.Employment Type: OTHER
