JOB DESCRIPTION

Harness your expertise to shape robust cybersecurity strategies and safeguard critical assets. Your leadership will be pivotal in enhancing our resilience against evolving global cyber threats.

As a Cybersecurity Intelligence Vice President at JPMorganChase on the Supplier Threats team within Cybersecurity Operations, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the firm's digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks while informing and influencing control measures across the organization. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will contribute to strategic cybersecurity initiatives and enhance our threat detection and response capabilities. Your work will have meaningful impact on the firm's operations, public image, and client relationships.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead supplier-focused threat intelligence assessments, identifying and communicating risks associated with third-party vendors and partners to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Implement proactive threat intelligence strategies using advanced analytics and emerging technologies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks before they impact the firm
  • Develop custom threat-hunting queries and rules targeting specific threat indicators across large data sets using data analysis tools and specialized scripting languages
  • Enhance threat detection and response capabilities by staying current with cybersecurity trends, sharing insights across teams, and implementing industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and technology to align threat intelligence findings with enterprise risk management priorities
  • Produce and present intelligence reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders in clear, business-relevant language
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, sharing threat intelligence and best practices to improve cybersecurity operations
  • Drive continuous improvement of intelligence workflows, tooling, and processes to increase operational efficiency and detection fidelity
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, analytical rigor, and professional growth within the team

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on cybersecurity concepts and 5+ years applied experience in threat intelligence, supplier risk analysis, or cybersecurity operations
  • Expertise in advanced threat hunting, security research, and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) for risk identification and assessment
  • Ability to review and validate intelligence findings in accordance with security and data handling requirements, making informed and well-documented risk assessments
  • Ability to clearly translate and communicate cyber risk through written, verbal, and presentation formats to diverse stakeholders across cybersecurity, technology, and business functions
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, or PowerShell for automating threat detection and response workflows
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk or Elasticsearch for large-scale threat monitoring and analysis

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience in software engineering, product security, incident response, or technology and cyber audit
  • Experience with third-party risk management, vendor security assessments, or vulnerability and incident management programs
  • Understanding of AI and machine learning models and proficiency with their application in security prototyping, threat detection, or data analysis
  • Familiarity with data handling, visualization, and analysis tools for security reporting and intelligence dissemination purposes
  • Understanding of industry risk frameworks such as ISO 27001, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
