Position Summary
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Warehouse Assistant is an entry level position that will be responsible for the daily labor tasks for the Cold Storage and Shelling Warehouse.
 
Position Responsibilities 
  • Follow all Olam Peanut Shelling Company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Preventive Control Rules, and Occupational Safety Rules. 
  • Ensure product has no risk of being cross contaminated with another allergen prior to loading or unloading any lots. 
  • Follow Olam Peanut Shelling Company Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) guidelines. 
  • Maintain the Cold Storage areas in accordance with the Safe Food Plan and Master Sanitation Schedule. 
  • Maintain wall clearance to avoid potential pest harborages and or infestations. 
  • Assist the Shipping Manager in the efficient and cost-effective shipping of finished product to customers. 
  • Follow all shipping instructions required by each specific customer. 
 
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.  
  • Able to work as part of a team. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Basic math skills. 
  • Physical dexterity. 
  • Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary) 
  • This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes peanuts Employees in this position will routinely work in areas where peanuts and related allergens are present and may be exposed by contact or in the air. Reasonable accommodations may be available to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.
