Your Passion

A Worship Director's passion should be deeply rooted in a love for God and a desire to lead others into meaningful worship experiences. This passion is reflected in their dedication to creating an atmosphere where the congregation can connect with God through music and worship. They should be driven by a heart for people, fostering a spirit of unity and engagement, and consistently seeking to grow in their spiritual journey. The Worship Director's enthusiasm should inspire and encourage the team and the church community to worship with authenticity, joy, and reverence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Coastal production and worship elements for the Sunday morning services at your location Lead worship 49 Sundays a year
  • Lead and facilitate worship/production for all church-wide events
  • Oversee weekly rehearsals to further develop and maintain a culture of excellence in worship
  • Oversee setup/teardown (if applicable), and operation of the adult service(s), including sound, lights, and video
  • Schedule and implement the worship services
  • Identify, invite, mentor, and empower leaders to join the Coastal Worship and Production ministry Develop teams led by other leaders you have raised up
  • Develop multiple worship leaders and musicians at your location
  • Execute a strategy for reaching and assimilating new volunteers
  • Develop a fully qualified team to serve the Lord by serving one another
  • Drive the Worship and Production Teams to match Coastal Community Church’s core values Oversee all volunteers in each of these environments
  • Meet with key staff/volunteers regularly to evaluate and improve
  • Partner with the Worship Directors at all Coastal locations
  • Assess the effectiveness of the weekend experience through feedback and observation Participate in meetings to help develop and implement the overall direction of the Church

Other Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the Worship and Production budget, ensuring financial procedures are followed and expense reporting is complete
  • Serve at churchwide events
  • Perform other church-related tasks as needed

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills: honor deadlines, prioritize tasks, pay close attention to details, and maintain standards
  • Ability to establish priorities and direct multiple problems or inquiries simultaneously Excellent time management and delegation skills
  • Spiritual and emotional maturity, personal integrity

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, and the church body
