Job description

Apply Category: Field Operations The Service Specialist III under general supervision, supervises, directs, and performs all phases of the rigging up and down of service line equipment on work locations both on and offshore. Pay Rate: Up to $42.00/hour, depending on experience. Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors

Responsibilities: Provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well site direction, and customer related support activities. Responsible for the activities relative to maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating equipment at the customer location and field camp. Mentors and trains lower level Service Operators and Operator Assistants in areas of expertise.

Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to ensure quality of data at the well. Consults with customers concerning services and products, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and ensures customer satisfaction with results. Properly maintains equipment and completes all job documentation.

Conducts pre-job toolbox safety meetings, reviews and verifies job plan with customer representative, and manages any changes required. Must be able to review information received from Business Development to confirm best practices are followed and that proposed job plans meet customer's expectations in the most efficient manner. Must be able to communicate with other PSLs and third parties to ensure tool and well site activity compatibility.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. 6+ years experience in oil field drilling activities including 4+ years of underbalanced drilling and/or managed pressure drilling. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required.

Good mathematical acumen is required. Good reading comprehension and writing skills are required. Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Service Specialist II-GBA.
