What is offshore Salesforce development?

Offshore Salesforce development refers to hiring teams or professionals from other countries, typically with lower labor costs, to handle Salesforce-related projects such as customization, integration, or app development. Organizations often choose offshore development to access a larger talent pool, reduce expenses, and increase productivity by leveraging different time zones. These offshore teams work remotely but collaborate closely with the client to deliver solutions tailored to their business needs. Effective communication and clear project management are essential to ensure success in offshore Salesforce development arrangements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Offshore Salesforce Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Offshore Salesforce Developer, you need strong proficiency in Salesforce platform development, Apex programming, and declarative customization, usually backed by a relevant degree and Salesforce certifications (such as Platform Developer I/II). Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio Code, Git, Salesforce CLI, and integration with third-party systems is commonly required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills help developers effectively collaborate with global teams and adapt to changing requirements. These skills and qualities ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions that meet client needs across different time zones and organizational contexts.

Job description

About CG Infinity
CG Infinity is a trusted IT consulting and solutions firm specializing in delivering high-impact technology initiatives across CRM, data, digital experience, and software engineering. We partner closely with our clients to design, build, and scale technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
We are seeking a Salesforce Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) who can blend hands-on Salesforce development and architecture with client-facing leadership, delivery management, and stakeholder communication.
Role Overview
The Salesforce Technical Delivery Manager is a hybrid role combining technical expertise with project leadership. This individual will act as an individual contributor on Salesforce development, solution architecture, and integration efforts while also leading delivery activities, guiding development teams, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply hands-on while also serving as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring solutions are scalable, elegant, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Deliver scalable, secure, high-performance Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform customizations.
  • Serve as the delivery lead on engagements-explaining design decisions for data models, integration patterns, governor-limit-aware design, and best practices.
  • Oversee technical solutioning for integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.
  • Review code and configuration to ensure quality, maintainability, and compliance.

Delivery & Project Execution
  • Lead technical delivery for complex Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
  • Coordinate sprint planning, refinement, and technical work breakdown with development teams.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies related to solution design and delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, CG Infinity methodologies, and client standards.
  • Provide hands-on problem solving during development, testing, and deployment phases.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical designs and development plans.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical considerations in a clear, business-friendly manner.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients; guide them through platform capabilities and solution trade-offs.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior and mid-level Salesforce developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, PMs, Solution Architects, BA teams, etc.).
  • Support pre-sales efforts such as solutioning, estimating, and architecture diagrams when needed.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Triggers, Flows, SOQL).
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, governor limits, and integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.

Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, concise communication-able to "translate" complexity into business language.
  • Confidence in client-facing environments.
  • Ability to lead by influence and foster collaboration.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable managing competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications.
  • Experience with enterprise integrations and middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.).
  • Background in consulting or services delivery.
  • Experience leading offshore or distributed development teams.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tooling (Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Git).
