Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.
This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model. This position includes working in the office 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday. this position can be done in the office or remotely on Fridays. Hours are 7:30 am - 4:30 pm daily.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Office Manager is responsible for overall management of daily office operations, ensuring a highly functioning, efficient, and well-coordinated workplace environment. This role leads office administration functions in the New ork and Westport office locations, drives process improvements, manages vendors and facilities, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent and high-quality employee experience. The Office Manager serves as the primary point of contact for office operations and acts as a key liaison between leadership, external vendors, and corporate partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Office Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee and manage all administrative and operational functions of the office

  • Ensure the office operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards, proactively partnering with Business Continuity teams to drive emergency preparedness planning and response readiness

  • Partner with Parametric international leaders on coordinating office administrative needs, processes & requests

  • Process Improvement & Standards

  • Approves, implements, and sets office policies, procedures, and workplace standards

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

  • Financial, Facilities & Vendor Management

  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and property management coordination

  • Oversees maintenance, repairs, and office equipment management

  • Oversee invoicing, track office expenses, and manage budget-related activities

  • Regular coordination with regional Morgan Stanley Facilities & Corporate Service partners

  • Workplace Experience & Employee Support

  • Lead local coordination of employee events, town halls, onboarding, and workplace initiatives

  • Develop and manage local office communications to ensure employees are informed of onsite activities, operational updates, and building-related information.

  • Manage and maintain the Business Administration SharePoint site, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and reflects current office operations, resources, and building information.

  • Space & Resource Management

  • Manage office occupancy, seating arrangements, and space planning

  • Maintain oversight of office, kitchen, and supply inventory

  • Administrative & Operational Oversight

  • Supervise mail, shipping, and document handling to ensure operations are maintained.

  • Partner with CAO leaders, EA's, IT, and Facilities teams to coordinate office operations and business administrative support needs

  • Leadership & Reporting

  • Report on office operations and improvement opportunities to BA leadership

  • Provide leadership and people management for administrative staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance, while managing team schedules to ensure seamless office coverage and operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of office management or administrative operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of office operations, systems, and procedures

  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and operational processes

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to take initiative and proactively resolve issues

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
