Position Overview

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and overall performance of an assigned Seasons Corner Market location. This position oversees team development, customer service, operational execution, inventory management, and financial performance while ensuring company standards are consistently met.

Successful candidates are leaders who enjoy coaching employees, maintaining operational excellence, and creating an outstanding shopping experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop store employees.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and leadership to the team.
  • Foster a workplace culture built on accountability, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
  • Create schedules that support both business needs and labor goals.
Store Operations
  • Direct daily store activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain company standards for cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and safety.
  • Verify pricing accuracy and promotional execution throughout the store.
  • Ensure proper inventory control and product availability.
Financial Performance
  • Monitor store sales, labor costs, and operating expenses.
  • Help drive profitability through effective inventory management and expense control.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and operational controls.
  • Complete required reports and administrative responsibilities on schedule.
Customer Experience
  • Deliver outstanding service by leading from the front and supporting store associates.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.

Hands-On Leadership
  • Assist with cashiering, stocking merchandise, receiving deliveries, and general store maintenance as business needs require.
  • Work closely with the District Manager to implement company initiatives and achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional education in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two to five years of management or supervisory experience in a retail environment.
  • Previous experience in convenience stores, grocery, fuel retail, or other high-volume retail operations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with employee coaching and team development.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, merchandising, cash handling, and retail operations.
  • Experience managing labor schedules and store performance metrics.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office or similar computer applications.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other business needs.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
