Job description

Job Summary:
ESI desires those who join our family feel called to not only work in an administrative role, but work in a ministry. To fulfill this role in our ministry and school a Christ-centered Administrative Assistant is needed. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the school. They will also manage the school office to ensure that operations are being completed with the utmost customer service in a timely manner. There will also be collaboration with the school's administrative team. The position involves working with and ministering to ESI staff, substitutes, parents/guardians, students, church staff, and community stakeholders who require information or service from ESI. Schedule is approximately 35 hours a week for 11 months out of the year. All school staff are expected to complete required training and professional development, which is provided by ESI. We also desire that our Administrative Assistant, and all staff, reflect the purpose of the school and participate in the culture of the school, which is to honor Christ in every aspect of their job, and is implemented by the following details below.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• General administrative skills
• Ability to work and communicate with people of all age groups, ethnicities, and backgrounds
• Ability to work in Microsoft (word, excel), and be willing to learn new software programs
• Detail oriented and time management strength
• Ability to keep sensitive personal information confidential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous school office experience is preferred, but not necessary
• Show evidence of Christian maturity and a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education
• Have a love of children and heart to serve others
• Demonstrates the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and timeliness
• Meet everyday stress with prayerful consideration, emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance

Physical Requirements
• Use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties

• Answering phone and assisting visitors per policy
• All filing and record management
• Maintaining and running reports primarily through the FACTS SIS software.
• Assist Administration with duties as needed
• Monitor students, staff, and campus at all times for safety and any potential needs
• General bookkeeping, AP/AR
