Office Assistant

Reports To: Assistant Director of Operations

Location: The Marq at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI

Compensation: $8.75 per hour. Position not eligible for benefits

FLSA Status: Student Non-Exempt

Company Information: Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM), with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated with a university.

Summary: The Office Assistant is responsible for assisting operations and management staff in completing various administrative tasks while working in the management office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining confidentiality in all matters concerning student/staff discipline and any other matters.
  • Provide customer service help to residents with management related processes
  • Answering the office phone professionally.
  • Assisting residents with work order requests.
  • Assisting residents and management with key access.
  • Adhering to employment schedule and dress code.
  • Enforcing policies / procedures of the residence halls and the university (including campus, state and federal regulations).
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
