Job description

Position Objective Robbinsdale Recreation is seeking Youth Soccer Officials for our fall league. Join our team. We're looking for enthusiastic, dependable individuals to serve as Youth Soccer Officials for our fall Saturday morning recreation league in Robbinsdale.

Training begins August 17, and the first game is scheduled for August 22. League runs through October 10. Games will be held at Lakeview Terrace and Welcome Parks in Robbinsdale.

Position Objective: Under supervision of the Community Engagement Coordinator or their assignee, assists in officiating youth soccer games for grades K-5. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure field safety and cleanliness. Communicates any site concerns to Community Engagement Coordinator.

Participates in all scheduled staff trainings, orientations, and meetings leading up to the start of the league. Fully understands league rules set by Robbinsdale Recreation. Communicates fully and respectfully with team coaches during games.

Manages game times and safety, utilizing league rules. Follows policies, procedures and guidelines set forth in staff handbooks and at staff meetings. Practices good public relations with fellow staff, participants, parents and other individuals using the park.

Responds correctly in emergency situations. Ability to relate and interact with people at various levels of authority within the agency. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Minimum age: 15 years if certified through Minnesota State Referee Committee, 16 years if uncertified.

Previous playing experience required. Ability to relate and interact with all ages. Ability to work majority of Saturday mornings August through October.
