Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an International Trade Compliance Analyst - Level 2 or 3, to join our team. This role can be located at one of the following space sector locations: Chandler AZ; Gilbert AZ; Sterling VA; or, Redondo Beach CA.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or 3.

In this job, you will:

  • Develop and manage internal controls for export and import activities to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign trade regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, customs and sanctions requirements).
  • Establish and maintain business processes for preparing, routing, and coordinating export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations through Sector Compliance and/or external Customs Brokers for submission to the U.S. government and foreign authorities, as applicable.
  • Partner closely with Sector Compliance and external Customs Brokers to ensure consistent, aligned interpretations of regulatory requirements and internal guidance.
  • Design and oversee operational processes that ensure trade compliance through gate reviews for export/import shipments.
  • Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and auditability.
  • Partner with the Law Department, Sector Compliance, and other functions to investigate, analyze, and help resolve trade compliance issues, problems, questions, or complaints.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain training programs and audit/assessment activities to measure and ensure the effectiveness of trade compliance controls.
  • Define, track, and report performance metrics for export and import processes to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction.
  • Provide expert guidance on customs and classification matters, including product classification under the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (USHTS) and Schedule B, working in concert with Customs Brokers and Sector Compliance as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant professional experience.
  • Level 3: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Licensed U.S. Customs Broker.
  • Demonstrated expertise in USHTS and Schedule B classification, including application of customs rulings and interpretive guidance.
  • Experience developing and managing export/import control processes and tools supporting complex technical programs or products.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills, with the ability to influence and educate at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $113,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
