Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Type 3 (Non-CDL) Driver to join Kano Trucking Services team. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver and pick up dry, chill, and frozen freight to various customers across the island of Oahu. The successful candidate will be driving small flatbed or small reefer trucks equipped with lift gates and pallet jacks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pick up dry, chill, and frozen freight to various customers across Oahu.
  • Plan daily routes and follow the delivery schedules.
  • Operate small flatbed or small reefer trucks with lift gates and pallet jacks.
  • Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage.
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
  • Manage routes and routines.
  • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
  • Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education & Experience:
  • High School, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Valid type 3 driver's license
  • Minimum 2 years in truck driving experience.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Experience with refrigerated & frozen products preferred.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report, (showing 10-year driving history) within 30 days of presentation.
  • Knowledge of the roads and areas on Oahu.
  • Ability to operate lift gates and pallet jacks.
