Job description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and LiveNation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
Proof of the Pudding, operator of COTA Concessions, is looking for team members that will be responsible for various concessions operations at COTA's many events. The ideal candidate has experience in food service operations, enjoys a position always on the move, and is organized with a hardworking mentality.
Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Receiving product and equipment using a forklift, pallet jack, golf cart, or box truck.
  • Restocking concession stands from the warehouse using FIFO.
  • Stocking concessions, bars, popup location, and suites throughout the event venue with equipment and food & beverage products according to pull-sheets or direction from management
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Plug-and-play electrical and propane equipment.
  • Assists in all gameday operations as business needs dictate.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and upbeat manner.
  • Ensuring hot and cold food is delivered in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist with disassembly and event breakdown: end of event inventory, warehouse stocking, and organization of equipment and leftover food products.
  • Work efficiently and independently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing food contact surfaces such as dishes, small wares, and food prep surfaces.
  • Punctual and consistent work ethic.

Performs other related duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ year experience in a food service role emphasizing operations or logistics, experience in high volume of stadium food & beverage preferred
  • Live within 25 miles of COTA preferred.
  • ServSafe certified or is available to receive training.

Specialized Qualifications:
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Comfortable receiving on-the-job training to perform their responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills with both team members and guests.
  • Ability to use machinery or work with another team member to move heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • A good memory and ability to problem solve effectively.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position will work out of and report to Circuit of the Americas. Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position will often traverse throughout the grounds on different terrains delivering supplies.
Uniform Requirements
Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traversing throughout the venue
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds at times.

Position Salary & Benefits:
  • Competitive pay starting at $18-$20/hr
  • Schedules will range upon business demands.
  • Must be available to work the F1 race event days of 10/16-10/23
