OB/GYNs also follow up after the birth and check on the mother’s healing and other post-partum needs.

Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN)

Salary and Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $114.62 – $141.07 (equivalent to approximately $238,400 – $293,400 annually for a 40-hour week)

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope obstetrics and gynecology care to a diverse patient population
  • Manage prenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal care including both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
  • Perform gynecological surgeries including C-sections and laparoscopies
  • Maintain a schedule of seven ½ days of ambulatory clinic, two ½ days of surgery, and one ½ day of administrative duties
  • Rotate call for deliveries with 1 OB/GYN and 2 Family Medicine with OB providers (shared among 4)
  • Share surgical call with one other physician
  • Deliver approximately 300 patients per year as a team
  • Round at two local hospitals: BJC and St. Mary’s – SSM
  • Potential to rotate across up to three clinic locations as team expands
  • Provide culturally competent care, including to a high Hispanic population

Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active or eligible for a Missouri medical license
  • Experience with or willingness to handle both OB and GYN cases, including surgical procedures
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred but not required
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based setting
