Job Summary:
Obsidian Entertainment is looking for experienced programmers to work with their team of artists and designers to deliver the artistic vision of their next world-class RPG using the Unreal Engine. The role involves collaborating with the team, improving performance, and developing tools for artists.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Collaborate with the team to achieve the artistic vision for the game
โ€ข Analyze and improve performance and memory usage across all target platforms
โ€ข Develop and maintain new and existing tools for the artists
โ€ข Author new shaders and effects
โ€ข Research and propose improvements to processes and pipelines
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข An avid gamer with a passion for making games and game technology
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
โ€ข 5+ years of industry experience developing for PC and consoles
โ€ข Proficiency in C/C++
โ€ข Experience with DirectX, HLSL, and GPU programming
โ€ข Interest in the latest rendering technologies, techniques, hardware, and APIโ€™s
โ€ข Experience with multi-threaded programming
