The Royal Caribbean Group's Destination Development Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Infrastructure Investments Manager to the Infrastructure Investments Director.
The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:
Royal Caribbean is looking for a strategic Manager to join its Infrastructure Investment Finance Group. The Infrastructure Investment Finance Group seeks strategic destination and infrastructure investments around the globe that serve Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.'s growing fleet of ships and markets, improve guest satisfaction, and generate long-term returns.
This role entails oversight of the Destination Development investments as well as the overall financial management of the portfolio of investments managed by the Infrastructure Investment Finance Group in accordance with approved business objectives and target financial returns. The Manager position is responsible for leading and managing a team of infrastructure investment and asset management professionals, managing priorities across a vast portfolio of global initiatives, overseeing the transactional and strategic activities of both new and existing Infrastructure Investment projects, leading internal underwriting for new projects, and overseeing the planning cycle of JV financials. in collaboration with the Infrastructure Finance team.
The Manager of the Infrastructure Investments and Asset Management Finance Group is a key member of the Destination Development team that will define, shape, execute, and finance the company's agenda for port and destination development and management inclusive of $5B in port investments in the project pipeline. Proposed investments include creating wholly owned subsidiaries as well as forming joint ventures with financial and strategic investors.
Other responsibilities include communicating with joint venture partners on a regular basis, coordinating deliverables with internal and external partners, supporting the broader finance needs of the team on an ad hoc basis, and tracking and analysis of financials.
Additionally, the Manager, in collaboration with the Infrastructure Finance team, is responsible for leading the forecasting and planning process including the Destination Development JV Portfolio Forecasting and Capex Planning Forecasting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and lead a team of infrastructure investment and asset management professionals fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Mentor team members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Responsible for modeling, deal structuring, forecasting, management reporting, valuation, and business analysis across the portfolio. Investment portfolio includes analysis of existing investments, research of potential new investments, and implementation of new investments.
  • Investments: Lead the evaluation of new initiatives to gain internal support and external partnerships and develop strategies to structure and implement investments.
  • Asset Management: Monitor performance of each JV entity, proactively identify areas of opportunities, address points of concern, mitigate risks, control costs, and optimize investments
  • Manage concurrently multiple projects and the JV portfolio without compromising on the quality of the work by directing the work of direct reports, planning around tight timelines, and effectively interfacing with business partners and other professionals.
  • Lead engagement with potential investors, investment partners, bankers, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Provide ad hoc support, assist with financial modeling and cash flow analysis, and produce various analyses as requested.
  • Manage the existing Infrastructure Investment portfolio of Joint Ventures around the globe.
  • Report monthly and annual operating performance at both individual investment and portfolio level.
  • Maintain the portfolio investment analysis including updating of actual activity, forecasting future performance, analyzing calculated returns and valuations, and summarizing results.
  • Take complex and detailed investment structures and communicate the key drivers and results in a concise manner and formulate meaningful recommendations.
  • Structure investments and joint ventures to meet business objectives and strategies in collaboration with management from Technical Accounting Group, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Tax, Legal, Treasury, and other RCG teams.
  • Manage internal approval for selected projects by reviewing detailed financial models, business assumptions, and other project information with the Capital Committee Members and securing support from Capital Planning, Corporate Strategy, Treasury and Finance.
  • Leads discussions with financing sources and internal treasury to secure capital needs/debt financing for projects.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelors Degree is required/Masters degree desirable
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in finance with at least 2-4 years at the management level.
  • Experience in valuation and deal execution through investment banking, accounting, asset management, or real estate investments preferred.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, research and financial analysis skills required.
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of valuation methods and debt structures
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Strong background in financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to effectively manage time-sensitive, contractual, financial, regulatory, or legal issues that can have a direct impact on the execution of an array of special initiatives.
  • Strong financial modeling, P&L forecasting, and business plan analysis experience.
  • Strong experience with legal contracts and ability to review and provide feedback on complex legal agreements including, but not limited to shareholders agreements, berthing agreements, concession agreements, operating agreements, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing and presentation creation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and peer management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and as an individual contributor.
