Description
BlackRock is seeking a qualified candidate to join the firm as a Vice President-level investment professional in the Global Infrastructure Solutions business, a division within Global Infrastructure Partners. The candidate will support the underwriting, execution, and ongoing management of infrastructure multi-manager investments with a focus on co-investments and secondaries in North America. The role is based in New York with occasional domestic and international travel.

Global Infrastructure Solutions ("GIS") is a division within Global Infrastructure Partners ("GIP"), a part of BlackRock. GIP is a leading infrastructure investor that specializes in investing in, owning, and operating some of the largest and most complex assets across the energy, transport, digital, water, and waste management sectors. GIP & BlackRock manage a combined $180 billion in assets under management across commingled funds and separate account solutions focused on infrastructure investments.
Global Infrastructure Solutions is the firm's infrastructure private equity multi-manager solutions group with offices in New York City, London, Zurich, Budapest and Hong Kong. GIS is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business that builds and implements outcome-oriented infrastructure private equity portfolios for institutional investors globally through investments into secondaries, co-investments, and primary funds. The team employs a diversified approach, investing across sectors - including transportation & logistics, energy & power, digital, environmental, and social - as well as across geographies. With a track record of over 250 investments executed since 2008, GIS has one of the most experienced infrastructure multi-manager teams in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Origination: Source attractive investment opportunities across secondaries and co-investments, with a focus on North American transactions, through building and maintaining strong relationships with fund sponsors, intermediaries, limited partners, and management teams
  • Project Management, Deal Underwriting & Execution: Lead the evaluation and execution of transactions, including: overseeing the development of complex financial models and analyses; managing workstreams and deal team members; negotiating commercial terms and structuring transactions; creating investment memos; and, presenting investment recommendations for approval
  • Portfolio Monitoring & Management: Monitoring and managing investments; covering GP relationships; preparing materials in support of performance review meetings

Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years of infrastructure and/or private equity investment experience in principal investment, secondaries, co-investment, and/or investment banking roles
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
  • Tools: Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with AI tools
  • Investment Capabilities: Proven quantitative capabilities and experience with building and analyzing financial models. Strong understanding of private equity, leveraged finance, project finance, and secondaries
  • Infrastructure Expertise: Knowledge of and exposure to infrastructure subsectors. Familiarity with the infrastructure private equity manager universe and transactions
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as solid interpersonal skills
  • Language: Fluency in English with professional competency in other language(s) desirable

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$180,000.00 - USD$245,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
